MISERY INDEX: Announce Headlining European Tour |

MISERY INDEX has announced a four-week headlining European tour starting on November 1st in the Netherlands. Co-headlining this run is Sweden’s GRAVE and support will come from ARSIS, THE LAST FELONY, and THE ROTTED. A listing of confirmed tour dates and cities can be found here with more to be announced soon.These European dates immediately follow MISERY INDEX’s North American tour with Montreal’s DESPISED ICON that kicks-off next month. The tour also includes MISERY INDEX label-mates REVOCATION during the U.S. leg and THE LAST FELONY joining in for the Canadian run.  Since their formation in late 2004, Brighton, England quintet ARCHITECTS have been on a continual ascendancy from the depths of the UK’s metal and hardcore underground to leaders of the scene. The band made a huge splash in North America this past summer as part of the highly successful “Cool Tour,” which featured As I Lay Dying, Underoath and Between the Buried and Me. The group immediately followed that tour up with a lengthy Canadian co-headlining run with The Holly Springs Disaster, which was also a huge success.
ARCHITECTS will capitalize on this momentum this fall as they make their much anticipated return to the US alongside Atreyu, Bless The Fall, Chiodos and Endless Hallway. ARCHITECTS recently wrapped up the recording process for their new album with renowned producer Steve Evetts (The Dillinger Escape Plan) and look for that to be released early next year. In the meantime, a special touredition of “Hollow Crown” is available in their native UK around their upcoming tour with the legendary Norma Jean as well as their labelmates DEVIL SOLD HIS SOUL. The special tour edition comes shrink-wrapped with a full Bonus-DVD that includes a 24min. documentary (filmed and edited by the band), “Early Grave” and “Follow The Water” video-clips, “Hollow Crown” remix by the band and an animated photo-gallery. KAMELOT Record Release Party Confirmed At NYC Date Of Headlining Tour |

KAMELOT will embark on its first North American tour in two years, headlining the Pandemonium Over North America Tour, which kicks off September 8th in support of the band's upcoming ninth studio album Poetry for the Poisoned. Support on the trek will come from Leaves' Eyes and Blackguard.
As part of the tour, the New York City date at premiere concert and events venue NOKIA Theatre Times Square had been dubbed as the official release party for the album. To celebrate the release, the band and venue will present fans with special first time previews of the new album, a commemorative Poetry for the Poisoned shot glass, and more special events to mark the occasion of their amazing new album.

 Canadian Sludge Rockers BISON B.C. have announced mainland European dates in support of their magnificent third album (second for Metal Blade) Dark Ages!

 The final voting round for the local support contest for the upcoming DARK TRANQUILLITY "WHERE DEATH IS MOST ALIVE TOUR 2010" came to an end. Close to 600 bands from all over Europe submitted to the contest and Century Media picked the 158 best to take part of the voting. Jens Prueter, Head Of A&R Century Media Records Europe:
"I know it's a cliché that a record label A&R will never listen to any demo bands are sending in. But me and my college Dario Dumancic listened to ALL 600 bands!!! Why we picked only 158? Because not every band seemed to be ready to play in front of Dark Tranquillity's fans because these fans bought a ticket for the shows and deserve a certain quality. And most other bands were too far away from playing anything to close to Death Metal. Where Death Is Most Alive? Everywhere! It was great to see again how vivid our scene is and what a great amount of great bands is out there from far north Iceland to the southern shores of Spain – just everywhere. Unfortunately only one band per show could win, but we want to thank all bands for taking part and we want to wish all of them good luck for the future – you deserve it! And we want to thank the close to 50.000 metalheads who took the time, listened to the bands and voted for them! We know that there has been some criticism about the technical side of the voting process and that some bands might plaid unfair to generate more votes. We promise to come up with a more fair and saver online voting system next time. But we hope you will enjoy your favourite bands on the tour with Dark Tranquillity and Insomnium. Horns Up!"
